NEF Vacation Policy

 

  0——- 90 days (16 personal hrs) ——— 1 year (40 hrs) ———2 years (80 hrs.)— (at 6th year accrue at 7-year rate) ——— 7 Years (120 hrs.).

(at 19th year accrue at 20-year rate) —–—-20 years (160 hrs.)

 

  • Vacation is accrued per pay period/week at one of four rates (based on years of service with NEF)

First Year Anniversary

  • When an employee hits his one-year anniversary with NEF, the employee earns 40 hours of Vacation time, 32 hours of which we highly recommend to be used towards the mandatory shutdown in July. (See above)

(Note: If you have used more than 8 hours of your Vacation time prior to the annual shutdown, you will only be compensated for those hours you have remaining.  However, you will receive the 8 hours holiday pay for July 4th.)

Second Year Anniversary

  • The employee earns 80 hours (10 days) of Vacation
  • 48 hours at your discretion
  • 32 hours to be used for annual shutdown

Seventh Year Anniversary

  • The employee earns 120 hours (15 days) of Vacation
  • 88 hours at your discretion
  • 32 hours to be used for annual shutdown

Twentieth Year Anniversary

  • The employee earns 160 hours (20 days) of Vacation
  • 88 hours at your discretion
  • 32 hours to be used for annual shutdown
  • The 4th week (40 hours) will be paid out on your final paycheck prior to hitting your anniversary date. Note: The fourth week will be paid out ONLY and is not to be taken off unless otherwise pre-arranged with management.

 

NOTE: VACATION TIME IS NOT CUMULATIVE, AND DOES NOT CARRY OVER INTO THE NEXT YEAR. ALL UNUSED VACATION TIME WILL BE PAID OUT UPON YOUR LAST PAYCHECK PRIOR TO YOUR ANNIVERSARY DATE.
